Nest N Thrive participates in affiliate advertising programs. When you click a link on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This page explains how that works, which programs we participate in, and how affiliate relationships do and don’t affect our editorial decisions.
Nest N Thrive is operated by TBDesigned LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. We believe in saying this clearly rather than burying it in a footer.
What Affiliate Marketing Is
Affiliate marketing is a way for content publishers to earn a small commission by referring customers to retailers. When you click an affiliate link on Nest N Thrive and complete a purchase, the retailer pays us a referral fee. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer’s site. We never mark up prices, and we never receive a cut of your purchase price. Only the referral fee paid by the merchant.
Programs We Participate In
Amazon Associates
Nest N Thrive is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Many of the products we recommend link to Amazon because that is where most of our readers actually buy things, convenient, returnable, and price-competitive. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Our participation in this program does not influence which products we recommend.
Other affiliate programs
From time to time we participate in affiliate programs run by other retailers and brands, including direct brand programs and networks such as Impact, ShareASale, and Commission Junction. When we do, the same principle applies: we earn a commission if you purchase through our link, at no additional cost to you. We will always disclose affiliate relationships on any page where they exist. If a link earns us a commission, we will tell you.
How Affiliate Relationships Affect (and Don’t Affect) Our Recommendations
Here’s the honest version.
What affiliate relationships do: They provide the revenue that keeps Nest N Thrive running. Without them, we would need subscriptions, paywalls, or display advertising, none of which we want. Affiliate income lets us keep the site free and ad-light.
What affiliate relationships don’t do: They do not determine what we recommend. We do not give products higher ratings because they pay higher commissions. We do not exclude products because they are not available on affiliate platforms. We do not let brands buy better coverage. If the best option for you doesn’t have an affiliate link, we will link it anyway and tell you why it is the best option.
We apply the same evaluation criteria to every product regardless of its affiliate economics. Our goal is a reader who trusts our recommendations enough to come back, and that only works if the recommendations are genuinely good.
FTC Compliance
The Federal Trade Commission requires that affiliate relationships be clearly disclosed whenever a financial relationship might influence a recommendation. We take this requirement seriously and comply with the FTC’s Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 C.F.R. Part 255).
You will see disclosure notices near the top of individual posts and pages where affiliate links appear. This page serves as our site-wide disclosure. If you ever have a question about whether a specific link is an affiliate link, you can assume that product links to major retailers are affiliate links unless otherwise noted.
Sponsored Content and Free Samples
We do not publish sponsored posts or paid placements at this time. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be labeled as such, clearly and at the top of the page. We may accept review samples from brands; when we do, that is disclosed in the relevant article, and the sample does not guarantee a positive review.
